Experience Guide 8-9
In EG 8–9, we learned about the various streaming tools, including equipment and different broadcasting software. With this, we were able to decide when, taking into account and depending on the type of content, to use this software and equipment best. We used this time as a group to research and dig deeper into the various broadcasting software and equipment used in streaming in order to brainstorm and decide what is best for us given our content type, which is a live interview.
Our group was able to decide what broadcasting software to use, OBS Studio, as well as what equipment to use. This includes:
- Audio Source: Built-in microphone for speaking devices while headphones and/or earphones for our hearing audio devices.
- Video Source: Built-in webcam from laptop and other devices with a resolution ranging from 480p to 1080p.
- Internet Connection: Internet Connection with the speed ranging from 100 to 150 Mbps which is fit for us to have a fast and stable stream.
Experience Guide 10
In EG 10, we were able to finalize the streaming content type that we plan to conduct with the use of brainstorming, basic research, and ideate tools. We were able to determine the pros and cons of different streaming content types which helped us in deciding what content type to use. As a group, we also used a mind map to connect different ideas circulating around our topic that are associated with unproductivity. This EG also allowed us to write a paper about the plans that we have for our streaming, including a S.M.A.R.T. goal, our target number of viewers, duration of our stream, as well as the topics and discussion to be done in the stream.
Experience Guide 11
In EG 11, we were introduced to the different elements of design; specifically, color palette, font styles. This helped our team decide for a theme which we think is aligned with our content. We were able to create our own design, such as our color palette, stream overlays, font styles, and logo to use.
Experience Guide 12
In EG 12, we were able to have an in-depth learning about the content of the Data Privacy Act, such as the rights and the punishment associated with them. As an individual we were able to assess different given situations and determine what was violated, why was the act violated, what the victim should know, and what is the deserved punishment for the violator. As a group, we were also able to list the important dos and don’ts in streaming.
Experience Guide 13
- In EG 13, we answered provided guide questions that helped us in designing our outline as well as visualizing our stream if things go within the plan. We were able to design and create a detailed outline for our stream to be conducted in the future. This includes our desired time duration, topic, activity, and screen and audio to be used. See more about this in the “Our Event” section.
- Aside from that, we were introduced to the different ways to promote materials, and with that we were able to create our brand’s social media accounts and various promotional materials to be disseminated through different platforms. See more about this in the “Our Event” section.
Experience Guide 12
In EG14, we were able to recall how to code and build a website using only HTML and CSS, as well as how to design a website. In addition, we started working on our PBA for Quarter 2 by developing a website. We were able to put the plans and web designs we made for our documentation to use when we created our website.
